Shirley Ann Garrett

Shirley Ann Garrett, 84, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in Springtown, Texas, at her residence. She was born November 19, 1936, in Boyd, Texas to Jack R. Read and Maggie V. Read, nee Finley. Visitation: Saturday, December 12, 2020, 12:00-1:30 PM Graveside Service: December 12, 2020, 2:00 PM She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years in September 2020, Clyde Garrett, her parents and twin sisters Ara Fae Arrington and Tennee Rae Williams. Shirley was secretary at Springtown High School and mother to many teenagers throughout the community. Survivors include sons, Steven Garrett and wife Linda and LaMoine Garrett and wife Donna; brother, Jackie L. Read of Boyd; grandchildren, Stephanie Garrett, Amy and Cody Pickett, Parker and Meghan Garrett, Gatlin Garrett and partner, Gabby Nombrano, Elizabeth and Wyatt Garrett; great-grandchildren Baylee, Eli, Brantley, and Emerlee Pickett, Gavin and Casen Garrett and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
