Shirley Ann Flint Orr, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Fort Worth. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Weatherford. Graveside Service: 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021 at Palava Cemetery in Sweetwater. Shirley was born April 15, 1936 in Breckenridge, daughter of Jake Anton and Elsie Casper Flint. She met Marlow Morris Orr and they were married November 18, 1955 in Sweetwater. They spent many happy years together until his passing on August 30, 2017. Shirley loved spending time with her family and they were her greatest joy. She loved quilting and would often give friends and family quilts that she handmade. Shirley was active with the Alzheimer’s Association in Weatherford where she contributed for many years. She was proud to be resident ambassador at West Fork at Weatherford. Shirley took great pride in greeting new residents into their home and making them feel welcome. She loved spending time with her four-legged companion, Missy, and they reminisced about her beloved Morris together. Shirley was a lifelong Baptist and faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Sweetwater and later, First Baptist Church of Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morris; sisters, Atonette Murphree, Rae Morgan, and Hazel Holladay; and brothers, J. A. Flint, and Billy Joe Flint. Survivors: Sons, David Morris Orr and wife, Vivian, of Weatherford, Dennis Lee Orr and wife, Laura, of Sweetwater, and Phillip Dean Orr and partner, Brenda Jackson, of Acton, Calif.; grandchildren, LaTisha Cantu of Trent, Jaci Meador of Blackwell, Karli Caldwell of Lehi, Utah, Jake Orr, and Jesse Orr, both of Weatherford; eight great-grandchildren and two more on the way; sister-in-law, Shirley Paidl; brother-in-law, John Orr; and many extended family members and friends.
