Stacie Lynne McGahey, 43, of Poolville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, May 11, 2020, from injuries sustained in a horse riding accident. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Poolville Cemetery adjacent to the Poolville Church of Christ, where Stacie and her family worshipped. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford 76086. Graham St., Stephenville, Texas 76401, 254-968-2143 Stacie was born on November 15, 1976 in Baytown, Texas. She was the daughter of Michael Eugene Singletary and Janet Ree Charlton. Stacie graduated from Dayton High School and Texas A & M University. She married her childhood friend, Benjamin Levi McGahey and together they had two beautiful children. Stacie was a dedicated Christian who enjoyed reading, sewing, riding horses, raising chickens and giving away eggs, volunteering at the Peaster Elementary School, and above all, raising her children and taking them to all of their activities. She was kind, loving and never spoke an angry word to anyone. Stacie was preceded in death by her father, Michael Eugene Singletary. She is survived by her mother, Ree Charlton; brothers, Casey and Jody Singletary; husband, Ben McGahey; son, Wyatt McGahey; daughter, Morgan McGahey; as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles who will all miss her infectious smile and attitude. Her legacy of love lives on in the organs she donated to multiple recipients.
