Syble Dean Sargent Pannell passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 after 85 years of life, adventure, smiles, and tears. Syble, PeeWee, Mother, Grandma - Many names for one beautiful, multi-talented lady. Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 31, 2020 at White’s Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle 76020. Interment: New Hope Cemetery. Visitation: 10:00 A.M. until service time at White’s Azle Funeral Home, Azle. Syble was born on August 28, 1934 in Haworth, Oklahoma, the oldest of four children, to Hollister and Orlena Sargent. She graduated from Haworth High School, where she was on the basketball team all 4 years. Syble opened her first beauty shop with her friend Jackie in 1970 off 28th street in Fort Worth. Their next shop was located in Lake Worth off of Azle Ave. In 1975 she earned her real estate license and then her broker's license. She worked at Ray M McLellan's real estate office on Main Street in Azle. Syble helped Ray raise money for the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon for many years. She finished her real estate career with Century 21 Alliance Properties, also on Main St in Azle. She coached softball, never missed a basketball or football game and attended many PTO meetings. Her family always came first in her life and she loved every single one, fiercely and unconditionally. She was the family's biggest cheerleader and confidante and will be greatly missed. Syble was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Pannell; son, Bobby Pannell; grandson, Nathan Pannell; and brothers, Harold Sargent and Tuffy Sargent. Syble is survived by daughters, Tanya Nettles and husband, David, Robin Johnson and husband, Bryant, D'Andra Davidson and husband, Mike; daughter-in-law, Marjorie and husband, Tom; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by those whose friendship she valued for decades, friends like Jackie Mitchell and her Kindergarten buddies, Betty Jean and Jabo who she had remained friends with for 80 years.
