Thomas Paul Richardson

Thomas Paul Richardson, 72, of Bridgeport, Texas, was received by our Lord, Saturday morning, August 19, 2023 in Decatur. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Interment: 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Thomas was born to Freeman and Tennessee “Pat and Teeny” Richardson, on October 4, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, where he then joined the U.S. Navy, becoming a marine mechanic. Tom became a man of many trades, including master welder, construction superintendent and long haul truck driver. From running the sound board in a band to being a prison security guard, there was nothing he couldn’t do. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Billy Richardson. Tom is survived by his children, Josephine, Deanna, Thomas, Robert and James; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a “handful” of nieces and nephews. He was loved and respected and he will be missed and remembered by all the relatives and friends who knew him.
