Zelda Fern Barbour, 65, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in Weatherford, Tx.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 23, 2024 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown, Tx.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2024 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown, Tx.

Interment: Friday, August 23, 2024, at Goshen Cemetery, Springtown, Tx.

Zelda was born January 19, 1959 in Wilson, Oklahoma to her mom, Betty Slawson Hollingsworth.

She was raised in Wilson and graduated from Wilson High School. She later met her husband, Robert Barbour, they married on March 4, 1978 in Fittstown, Oklahoma and they eventually moved to Springtown and started a family.

Zelda began working as a Special Education Assistant for the Springtown I.S.D. and continued that vocation for 18 years. Everyone says she was respected and admired for the way she cared for the children.

Her Christian life was very important to her and she lived it the way God meant for her to live.

Zelda enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren and other family, taking pictures and relaxing by the lake. She loved shopping trips and loved to go spend money.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her daughter, Marissa Barbour and brothers-in-law, Ricky and Kelly.

Zelda is survived by her husband, Robert; her sons, Jeremy Barbour and Robert Barbour, Jr. and Becky; Grandchildren, Ethan, Kaylyn, Mikayla, Emilee, Danika, Kinsley and Jaiden; great-grandchild Thomas; sisters, Tammy, Anita, Cindy and husband Steve; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends of the family.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with the cost of the services.
