William "Bill" Hubert Fenimore

William Hubert Fenimore, 92, beloved husband, father, uncle and friend, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019. Funeral Service:  10 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford  76086. Visitation:  5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at White’s Funeral Home. Bill was born March 4, 1927 in Covington, Kentucky, son of John William and Sara Stoneburner Fenimore.  After college, he proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, in the South Pacific, achieving the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.  Bill met Greta Cooper, they fell in love and married in St. Albans, West Virginia in 1952.  They spent 67 wonderful years together and were blessed with two daughters, Linda and Nancy.  Bill made his career as an electrical engineer working for Union Carbide Corp., retiring after 32 years.  He and Greta moved to Weatherford in 1987.  Bill was a member of Bankhead Drive Church of Christ in Weatherford. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, John W. Fenimore, Jr. Survivors:  Wife, Greta Fenimore of Weatherford; daughters, Dr. Linda Fenimore of Fort Worth, and Nancy Berry and husband, Peter, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nephew, Patrick Fenimore; and many extended family members and friends.
